Hello everyone! If you've been listening to the show, you'll know that Eric & I both have a ton going on. Between the Spirit World Center launching their new courses, my active astrology practice, and all the life changes in between, we're both working hard to make sure we can keep bringing you this amazing monthly show!

With that being said, we're going to be scaling back our written report to a simpler format which will essentially be a lightly cleaned-up version of the notes I use to prep for the show. General themes of January 2024

Capricorn season is a caricature of itself this year!

• There will be a lot of Capricorn transits in the next month or so including Mars, the Sun, Pluto (leaving), Mercury, and Venus.

• An astronomical oddity: We will have two full and two new moons in Capricorn (unusual!) this year in June and July, so January will be a hint of what's to come, especially for people with Capricorn placements.

• Pluto will move out of Capricorn for a while and dip back in later this year. Giving us a break from “revelation, exposure” etc, to get things straight. 

• Use the new moon in Capricorn on 11 January to set some intentions and plant a seed that will bloom later in the year.

Pluto in Aquarius 

• Pluto entered Aquarius on 23 March 2023 and began an 18ish long month transition.

  • 23 Mar 2023 -  Pluto  enters Aquarius

  • 11 June 2023 - Pluto(Rx) leaves Aquarius for Capricorn

  • 21 Jan 2024 -  Pluto  enters Aquarius

  • 2 Sep 2024 - Pluto  leaves Aquarius

  • 19 November 2024 - Pluto enters Aquarius (stays until 2043)

• Pluto is a planet of revelation, exposure, and bringing things to light. It is associated with transformation (especially death/rebirth cycle), power, control, manipulation, and intensity. It can also reveal our fears to us whether those fears are true or paranoia.

• Pluto stays in each sign anywhere from 12-30 years, so this is a generational transit we will only experience a few of. It will be in Aquarius until 2043.

• I don't do much mundane or sociocultural astrology, but there are lots of great astrologers out there talking about what the Pluto cycle means for humans on the global stage. Do some Googling!

Specific dates January 2024

• 1 January at 21:07- Mercury direct at 22° Sag (chart)

  • Mercury will station direct in the sign of its adversity.

  • Possibly some tension between big ideas and fine details of execution.

  • Underscored by tension between Venus and Saturn

• 1 January at 7:25 - Venus in Sag square Saturn in Pisces (chart)

• 4 January at 8:58 - Mars enters Capricorn (chart)

  • Mars will be supercharged in Capricorn (the sign of its exaltation) through 13 February bringing passion, drive, disruption, and possibly aggression to the Capricorn-governed areas of your chart

• 11 January at 5:57 - New Moon at 20° Capricorn (chart)

  • Use this New Moon to set some intentions, for the Capricorn or Taurus-governed areas of your chart OR just for general Capricorn themes which include work, industriousness, longevity, self-improvement

• 13 January at 20:50 - Mercury enters Capricorn (chart)

  • Capricorn party with Mercury, Mars, Sun, and Pluto in Capricorn until the 20th when the Sun and Pluto ingress both into Aquarius 

  • This will be a week that is especially favorable to crystallizing good habits for the whole year and setting the precedent, especially in the Capricorn-governed and Taurus areas of your chart (because Jupiter just went direct in Taurus)

  • If you can't capitalize on this period, there will be another when Venus enters Capricorn in just a few days

• 20 January at 8:08 - Sun enters Aquarius (chart)

• 20 January at 18:51 - Pluto (re)enters Aquarius (chart)

  • Will shift some of our focus to our communities and the collective. In the coming months, we may wonder how our actions are impacting those around us and our chosen friends and families

• 23 January at 2:51 - Venus enters Capricorn (chart)

• 25 January at 11:53 - Full Moon in Leo (chart)

  • This Full Moon would be a great one for spiritual pursuits if you can time it (to have Taurus rising, Jupiter conjunct the Ascendant, and the stellium in Capricorn in the 9th house which will bring a focus on spirituality, philosophy, and expanding the realm of belief

• 27 January at 1:35 - Uranus stations direct (chart)

• 27 January at 8:58 - Mercury conjunct Mars in Capricorn (chart)

  • This conjunction will be applying and separating within 3 degrees of tightness from 21-31 January

  • Another good time this month for quickness of wit and mind, passionate communications, decisiveness, intellectual rigor.

• 27 January at 1:18 - Sun in Aquarius square Jupiter in Taurus (chart)

• 28 January at 19:01 - Venus in Capricorn trine Jupiter in Taurus (chart)
